About
The Zeta Iota Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta was founded in 1998 by women from Gamma Phi, a local sorority chapter at Valparaiso University. Love, labor, learning and loyalty are the core values of our sisterhood. We are a diverse group of highly motivated and passionate women who are engaged in our campus life and surrounding community.
The relationships we share in Gamma Phi enhance our college experience and last years after graduation. We hold a sisterhood retreat once a semester; participate in various social gatherings, including Homecoming and Spring Week festivities; take part in local community service projects and enjoy quality time with each other on the Gamma Phi corridor of Scheele Hall. As a chapter, we have won the highest all-sorority GPA for the last seven out of eight years.
In addition to membership in Gamma Phi, many of our sisters are active leaders and members of campus organizations. We value balance in education, service and social life and hold our sisterhood very close to our hearts.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster a nurturing environment that provides women the opportunity to achieve their potential through life-long commitment to intellectual growth, individual worth and service to humanity.
